Voltron belongs to whoever Voltron belongs to. I've just been watching the series lately as someone borrowed it for me.
This would be Red lion (if the colour didn't clue you in), all five lions join together to form Voltron, defender of the universe!
So sick of hearing Prime's voice. Actually I don't like most of the VA of Voltron, but considering some of the lines they managed to say seriously they get a small amount of admiration from me (This is your waterloo voltron.... Would a kid even understand that?) and I would like the series better minus all the fantasy stuff and with more ships and aliens.
Anyway, I do like the lions and Red lion is one of my favourites.
Edit: Incidentally I just discovered the voices I do like were Prowl's VA, Michael Bell, and another VA who voiced several other TFs, although I was stuck on which.
i also give permission for to display this in their voltron club.
Thanks! For the comment, compliment and favourite!
I really like Red's design. Having Lance as a pilot helps too, he's a favourite of mine as well, one of the cooler pilots and characters, plus I like his joking personality.

I prefer the Green lion*and it's small pilot* but how could you not love this. Ican't draw those lions to save my lifeI tend to add things and the end up looking more Zoidsish XD SO I admire your ability to take the red lion and actually make it look like well red lion and you use water colors wonderfully! Overall this definately is worth a fave and this piece definately deserves more love ^^
nothing wrong with zoids ;] even if it is frustrating when you're trying to draw something unzoidish [i seem to be better at voltron lions than zoids, ironically] and thank you for the comment and favourite. i'm also happy you liked the use of water colours, as a friend and i had a huge discussion on what media could best colour a robot [specifically cartoon robot] and trying water colour paints was a new experiment on my part.
this picture is a personal favourite of mine even with mistakes, so i'm always happy when other voltron fans see and like it. the animation detail changes so much in the show it's difficult to piece it all together to form a complete lion of any colour with the same level of detail [and to tell the truth i took some detail off the other lions from the sequence where voltron forms because the detail then is great, and red wasn't seen from all angles during it ;] ]. thanks again for commenting and liking the picture.

I know that^^I loved Zoids when I was younger heh and no problem Yeah I admire people who can work with any sort of paint cause I can't to save my life and Yeah it proably is the best media for a cartoon robot
i'm still a big zoids fan =] and i think paint suits the metal smoothness, i guess, more than things like pencil or something rougher which has more of a grain. paint can be tricky though, and if you make a mistake it can ruin the whole thing.

The mechanical lions are a bitch to draw, you did a great job on this one. Overall, I preferred watching the original japanese version like a good little fangirl... some of lines in of the english were ridiculous, yet somehow I cannot stop loving it!
and if you're interested, there's now a Volrton fan club on dA (a terribly lonely fan club)
